Nezunoban (Nightwatch) is an exploration of the Japanese ritual of Nezunoban. Traditionally, family members stay with the deceased overnight, ensuring that incense remains lit to guide the soul. In a world shaped by silence and smoke, players must maintain this sacred ritual while navigating a space where the darkest secrets of a loved one begin to emerge.
As the night progresses, the environment—a space of memory and physical reality—reveals "fragments" of the deceased's past. The high stakes—the soul's eternal journey—clash with the player's evolving emotional response to the truths they uncover.
