Farm to Fashion

Directing a Global Textile Narrative

The Journey

As part of a global initiative to showcase the heritage and innovation of natural fibers, Michael Beets directed a series of immersive 360° experiences for The Woolmark Company. The project, titled Farm to Fashion, tracks the sophisticated lifecycle of wool through a cinematic lens, capturing the intersection of tradition and modern design.

The directorial vision required a dual focus: capturing the raw, atmospheric beauty of cinematic VR shot in rural Australia, and translating that authenticity into high-end interactive fashion showcases. By bridging the gap between agriculture and the runway, the work highlights Woolmark's dedication to education, collaboration, and textile innovation.

A testament to the project’s scale and fidelity, National Geographic premiered a teaser of the experience, bringing the narrative of sustainable fashion to a massive global audience.
